Every Voice, Every VoteOne hundred years ago, the U.S. Constitution was amended to give women the right to vote. But sadly, then as now, the law didn’t apply equally to all. It took another 45 years – and the passage of the Voting Rights Act – for Black women to be able to cast their ballots.
Today, women of color are still unfairly disadvantaged at the polls.
We cannot achieve AAUW’s vision of equity until everyone has access to the same rights. Please give today to expand voting access and education.
